Meet our Golf Staff

Chris Hewitt, our Golf Course Superintendent, has been with us for close to 30 years. His vast knowledge of the course and its intricacies has provided the members a top quality course. This knowledge has allowed the Greens and Grounds Committee to plan more effectively for the benefit of the club. He has guided and managed his crew through many challenges. He continually strives and succeeds in maintaining the course and equipment. He has the experience and confidence to undertake and complete large scale in-house projects. Chris has played an important role in building the values of our Grounds Crew and ensures that his high standards and the clubs vision for the course are imparted to them.

Hollie is an experienced golf professional and PGA Associate with nearly a decade in the golf industry, including six years at the Vinoy. She offers individual lessons and assists with seasonal golf clinics, helping members build confidence and improve their game. Hollie also brings extensive experience with Golf Genius to support the Club’s golf programming.

Reece joins Isla from Streamsong and recently became a PGA Associate. He assists with seasonal golf clinics, tournaments, Golf Genius, and daily Golf Shop operations. Reece looks forward to growing his career while helping members enjoy their time on the course and in the Golf Shop.

Garrett Mitchell will be available on Sundays to help staff the Pro Shop. He will be in on Sundays to assist members with tee times and any other Pro Shop needs. Garret worked for the USGA in New Jersey before moving down to St Petersburg. He works full-time as a Senior Club Performance Analyst with the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
